Would you like to volunteer with Shelter From the Storm Ministries, Inc.? We would love to have you! Donating your time and God given talents gives you the opportunity to be a part of the difference you’re making in our community.

What is the time commitment?

Every volunteer goes through an onboarding process which is typically an hour long. Then volunteers can choose when they serve through our online volunteer scheduling tool. Every volunteer serves where their passions lie and set their own levels of commitment.

Do volunteers need a background check?

Yes. Potential volunteers will fill out a volunteer application form and SFTSM will run a background check at no cost to the volunteer.

Is there a minimum age for volunteers?

Yes, volunteers must be at least 18. Children can volunteer with their parent, as long as the parent has gone through the application, background and orientation process.
